My hip hurts so bad!

I just need to bitch for a minute. My right hip is killing me. It's been a problem this whole PG and I finally went to see a rolfer last month. It was like a miracle, it helped so much. But the adjustments only last about 2 weeks before baby pulls my pelvis back out of whack. He is sitting on my right side of course.: And I just cannot afford to go see the rolfer again until after the PG when I know the adjustment will last longer. I mean, $90 for one hour!!!

So I am stuck being miserable, knowing there is something that will help but unable to do it. I cannot walk or move in any way without intense pain. And I want to be out walking to try to get some ctx going, I want to be having fun with my kids, I want to just be able to move freely...

I am just tired of hurting.

I stopped going to my chiropractor b/c I couldn't afford it, but was in a lot of discomfort....he found out and called to tell me the most important thing to him wasn't the money, but helping me through my pregnancy....so now he's seeing me for free once a month!
I know it can be really challenging to ask for discounts, but maybe if you talk to your rolfer, they will cut you a break...I'm sure that they're real goal in being a practitioner is to help people feel better, but just make lots of money...you deserve to feel free from this pain, especially when your headed for labor!

I'm just amazed you were able to tolerate rolfing at all while pregnant. It blows my mind.

I hope you can work something out with a chiro.

sounds like you have a great chiro (I have made "that" call a few times myself!! ) I put it in the pay it forward" category.. I agree, ask at least for a discount or something.. almost ALL of us will take hardship cases esp in pG and kids.. good luck

My MW made it sound like there is a pretty big variation in rolfers and you have to be careful who you see. The lady I've gone to is awesome and I haven't been in any pain, not more than a deep tissue massage would be... but I have heard some horror stories!

I know she would fit me in, she has been great about that all 3 times. About a discount, I don't know... the last visit was already free because it was only a week after a previous visit that just didn't seem to "take." My mom paid for that one, and my MW actually paid for the first visit because it was the only way she could convince me to try it LOL... anyway I would feel horrible asking for more help. Especially since if work doesn't pick up for my DH we are going to be in need of really serious help, like for bills and stuff, in another month or so. But I do feel a little better today so far. Thanks for letting me gripe, that is probably what I needed more than anything.

The end is in sight mama. Lots of hot baths, tylenol, and massages from your dh might help.
