Pixiesmommy (Amanda) is sleeping right now, but I wanted to post and let everyone know that Amanda gave birth to our second beautiful daughter Peridot (Peri) Sarah-Arline at 12:34 on Thursday, 11/15. She is 9 lbs, 6 oz and 22 inches long.
It was a totally unmedicated, midwife-assisted waterbirth.
Amanda went into labor around 5 am on Thursday morning and her water broke naturally at 7 am. We rushed to the hospital (Amanda worried we'd be having a car baby!) but got there safe and sound.
Labor went incredibly quickly - only about six hours of active labor and three big pushes.
We just returned home from the hospital today and now we're sleeping off our exhaustion.
I am positive Amanda will be on some time tonight with more details.
Thank you for all your well-wishes and thank you TinkyMama for posting about the labor and rushing to the hospital to take photos for us, even if they wouldn't let you upstairs.
