I didn't see a poll on the page, only a story about a woman asked to quit breastfeeding in public. Did I just miss it?

Sorry, the poll is in a link at the bottom. It is a pop up when you click the link.

The voting results are much better on this one than the others. However, I wasn't at all impressed with that statement from McDonalds. (Big surprise. McDonalds doesn't care if babies can eat healthy food. : ) It just said they want all of their customers to be happy and comfortable. Basically, I think they wanted it to be read by breastfeeders that they were welcome to nurse and by those opposed that they can be comfortable, which would mean for them that no one would be nursing there.

On the one hand, 80% on our side sounds good, but on the other hand, 800 people going to that poll and voting that businesses have the right to ask breastfeeding mothers not to breastfeed is 800 people too many. I agree that McDonald's statement is garbage. "We want everyone to feel welcome" (including those who oppose breastfeeding). Talk about wishy-washy. "We apologize for the misunderstanding" (not 'we apologize for our employee harassing that woman'). They never once said 'we support the right of a woman to breastfeed in our restaurant.'

:LOL

I agree, their statement sucks and so do the numbers of people who voted that business does have the right to aska BFing mom to elave or stop or whatever. There was another poll like this that I voted inrecently where 70% said that the business should ask the women to stop. I think 10% of htas "On;y if a customer complains" :Puke. I am so disgusted withour society!
