Welcome James Anthony!

Sorry it has taken a little while to check back in, but we've been busy around here.

James Anthony was born on November 13 at 10:00 on the dot. (he's a very precise baby )
7 lbs. 11 oz.
21 inches long

Here are some pictures:

The midwives and nurses at the birth center were fantastic and although it was the toughest 26 hours of my life, it really was the most rewarding. I did it without pain meds and honestly felt like there is nothing I cannot do now - I am Superwoman! And all without tearing - I was so psyched! James had a little trouble regulating his breathing, so we did have to transfer to the hospital for observation, but he was out of the NICU and rooming in with us by midnight.

Because of the transfer, I didn't get to try to nurse for the first time until 6 PM, but James was apparently paying attention during breastfeeding class because he took to it right away.

I'm off to catch up on the rest of the November babies. It looks like things got pretty busy around here!

Thanks for all your help throughout this pregnancy, ladies. You all helped me get through this and have such a successful birth. I can't wait to bombard you with baby questions!

SWEET pics, look at that dark hair!!

I am so glad you feel so wonderful. That's how I felt after my hospital VBAC 9 years ago. Just amazing and proud. You will never ever ever forget that feeling.
