How scary. I hope your baby will be OK, despite all of the trauma he's had in his short little life. And I hope you are able to find the strength to go and be with him. He needs his mama now more than ever.

Congratulations Blue Fish!! It was so kind of you to share your journey with us. I've been checking several times a day following your story and it was so wonderful to read that Joseph has arrived. Your patience inspires me! Best wishes to you and your family during this time.

I am so very sorry for the rough start. I am thinking though of the extra stress an induction or a quick cutting of the cord would have done to him. Sometimes we can't keep trouble from occurring, but we can mitigate the extent of the trouble. It sounds like your intuition was instrumental in doing that.

Congratulations and love to your family.

: I was thinking that as well.

I am glad he is here and hope that you can go be with him ASAP take care of yourself and thank you for showing that instincts mean more than some would give them credit for.

happy birthday joseph! hope you are all reunited soon. NICU stays far from home are really crappy. We used a Ronald McDonald House for ours- it might be worth seeing if there is one near the NICU if you find the stay to be lengthy for any reason. hopefully, you'll be having a happy homecoming soon.

best,
hcm

I'm so glad he's here, and glad he's breathing, and glad that your body gave him such, such a gentle entrance into the world: that was obviously what he needed, though I haven't the foggiest why : Gentle healing to you, mama, and to your beautiful baby boy.
