inflating pool - BPIAB Mini

Hi-

I'm due in a couple of weeks, and we just opened up our new Birth Pool in a Box Mini for a test run. I thought it was supposed to come with a hand punp, but it didn't. I need to call them tomorrow. But, I'm worried that even if they send out a pump, that it won't arrive in time - I waited over two weeks for the pool after they forgot to send it when I first ordered.

I'd like to find something today to use to inflate it. What have others used? We tried both a small hand pump (came with birth ball) and a bicycle pump - neither fits. Will an electric pump from Target work?

Thanks!

You would NOT want to use a hand pump!!

An electric pump is best and you can get one in the sporting goods section of Target/Walmart for $15-20.

I blew my La Bassine up with a combination of the power of my lungs and a little plastic foot pump that came with my birth ball. Not the easiest method, but it works. I think you can probably do anything but I'd go with a foot pump at least (hand pump would get awfully tiring). I blew it up about a week before I went into labor and it took me at least a day to do it (working on and off).

Thanks for the responses!

We blew up the sides last night using our cannister vac. We inflated the floor with the birth ball pump. So, all's well!
