I am putting together an independent contract proposal for my spring quarter at school.
I had thought about it this summer and had all these great ideas, but I don't think I wrote them down! Now my mind is a blank
So, what I want to do is spend a week on each decade of the 20th century, analyzing the important movies, musical genres, and books. I would like to focus on the things popular with people ages 16-30.
So, help me come up with a list of movies I should watch, music I should listen to and books I should read. I am also looking for books that analyze each time period and what was important.
I want to get into different genres: blues, country, jazz, rock, spirituals.
