Oh my goodness, I have to check in on all these new babies! Alot happened since I was here last!

So, I don't want to go into it all right now but Mairaed Killeen was born on Friday, Nov 16 at 5:24pm. She is 20 inches long and weighs 6 lb 15 oz. She is healthy and beautiful and I am totally in love. Birth story later.

oh she is precious!!!!!! how do u pronounce her name? i take it that is gaelic, like my sheamas'. i am so tempted to change his spelling to the correct way now that i'm out of minnesota where the people around me never even heard of the name seamus. sigh...!

i am so happy for you maisiedotes!!!!!!!!!!! nice surprise to come home to!!!

ahhhh! i just googled the 'pronunciation of mairaed' and the first i pulled up was YOUR post back in july, maisiedotes! how funny. i couldn't resist researching it as i love the gaelic names...

Our DD is going to be

Mairaed Killeen

(Mairaed will be pronounced "mah-RAYD" and Killeen is my grandmother's maiden name). She will be Raidie for short, but we don't know how we will spell it. I guess the gaelic pronunciation is "may REED" but we will say it the other way.

That is a name we picked out before we even got married- we just love it. Different but not to the point that kids will make fun of her.
