Ok when I had dd2 she cried like non stop till my milk came in which was like a whole 3 days! I had the LC tell me to try and pump even drops out of colostrum to dropper feed her and nothing nada I couldn't get anything out and could barely hand express tiny drops on my nipple, Is this something I am going to have to deal w/ again? If so is there anything I can do about it?

I hear you! My milk took 5 days to come in with DS. Pumping did not express anything. All I know is that the more stimulation to the nipple-brain-axis the more and quicker milk comes in, also milk can stall coming in if all the placenta is not expelled completely. SO this time I will ask the MW to make sure the placenta looks "whole" and I will get that baby on the breast as often as I can. With DS there was a 16 hour delay from time born to first time he nursed. A better LC would have told me to pump and would have given me a pump to use every 2-3 hours.
So I think we will just have to ensure stimulation often, I am aiming for every 2 hours. Plus DS might still be nursing too.. that can only help.
I also drank Mothers Milk Tea on day 5 post partum and about 2 hours later my milk came in.. did it help? or was the milk just going to come in at day 5?

Now I see why my midwife told me to wake my daughter every 3 hours and have her nurse immediately after birth. I think we slept for 5 hours but then did it every 3 hours like she said and it was horrible waking up after being so tired. But my milk came in within 2 days and I didn't have any engorgement issues. We had to undress the baby to get her awake enough to latch on, which seemed kinda cruel at the time, but now I see why we did it. I was planning on asking if we'd have to do that again, but now I see the answer, bummer.
Maybe fenugreek would help it come in earlier.

I do have some fenugreek I may take that to the hospital w/ me to start taking asap! I had NO problem w/ her latching on w/ in an hour of delivery she was nursing and stayed latched on all the time and still it is like I didn't have much colostrum, I am praying for a better supply this time, I had enough to sustain my dd2 but everytime I got the slightest dehydrated (which I stay that way
) I would see a big drop that meant everytime I would excersize I would see a drop it sucked. I almost wish for an oversupply LOL

ds and I slept the whole night through and after that he wanted to stay latched on non-stop or he would cry. I pretty much just let him nurse all the time and my milk did come in 2 days post-partum and I had oversupply.

It is a supplement you get from any vitamin store like GNC or somewhere like that and it helps women w/ a low supply though it CAN upset some baby's bellies so you have to be careful and make sure it won't bother them other than that it just makes you smell like maple syrup LOL

This is helpful; believe it or not the anxiety dreams I've been having are about having no milk! I was starting to worry b/c I haven't seen any drops yet, while other people clearly have. But it sounds like, as with everything else in pregnancy, there is no "normal" - just wait & see. Would you advise bringing Mother's Milk tea to the hospital and starting to drink it right away?

My milk took 3 days to come it the 1st time, too! I had a 10 lb baby and everyone said I was starving her by not giving her formula--it was so awful.
2nd time around I had colostrum 2 weeks before her birth! Milk in 24 hours! I hope that is what happens for you!
This time I have colostrum already!! Freaked me out the other day, but OK!

Was her birth or any of the events during that time more stressful for you than with your other children? I was told that the delay with DD1 could have been b/c of the stress surrounding her birth.
It sounds like you had a lot of stress over the crying and lack of colostrum. Its a bad cycle sometimes with the stress that keeps things from "flowing" easily. Staying relaxed and positive is definitely a must! And drink a lot of water!
I'm sure it'll be smooth for you this time!
