Postpartum weight loss - Page 2

I am 5'10 and was 165 before getting pregnant. My max weight during pregnancy was 227. eek! So, I gained 62 pounds. At 3 weeks pp (last Friday), I was 185.

Down 42 pounds! I want to lose the last 20, plus maybe 5 more.

I'm looking forward to being able to exercise again!

Me too... never thought I would say that. I miss doing vinyasa yoga! I just hope that it will not be impossible to find the time to do it. :

At 9 days post partum, I was down 44 lbs. I have NO idea where half of that came from, since the babies were only 15 lbs together..must have been a TON of fluid I was holding onto!??? I have a bit more I would love to lose, but I am focusing on eating what I need to to keep up with nursing twins and will work more on my diet/losing weight once I get more regulated here.

Agreed! I'm afraid I might not have time to do it until the girls are a year old.

I'm keeping that in mind, too. Seems like a little weight comes off every few days with nursing the girls. I'm not going to restrict my diet (maybe cut back on the sweets, but that's SO hard during Thanksgiving/Christmas)!

Well, the report from the scale was not nearly as good as I had hoped
I'm 5'9" and normally about 150+- I gained 50 lbs and am now down to 180. So...30 lbs to lose. Yikes! That seems like a lot. My stomach is flat (though a little dough-y) so it's pretty evenly distributed on the rest of me. I'm planning on nursing it off! Exercise will only happen when I have the chance, but probably not for a few more weeks. And, I'm *way* more hungry now than when I was pg. So I weigh 30 lbs more than normal and all I want to do is eat! Just my luck.

Just a warning to the wise mamas here: Suger can cause thrush! I know this first hand. I was drinking a little wine with dinner every night after my son was born and got it bad over and over. It was so hard to then cut out all suger. Not worth it. Go light on all sugers!

i had # 3 ds 7 weeks ago and i gained 28 lbs and lost 20 lbs so far. i think the body in and of itself is pretty amazing...... could it be that womens' bodies are evolving again? lol

I am getting on my scale right now. I hate my scale, mind you, and I would love to throw it out the window because every time I get on it, even if it is 15 times in a row, it says something different. I think it is our crooked house...

So, my pre-pregnancy weight was 165
at delivery I was 200 (that was this past Friday)
Today I am 186

You would not know by looking at me that I was pregnant a few days ago, but my belly looks like a deflated beach ball. It used to have good muscle tone (not a six pack by any stretch, but it was much more muscular). I can't wait to get back on weight watchers. I am in regular clothes, albeit my larger stuff, but they are tighter in the legs than they were before.

I know I was holding onto a ton of fluid. I balloned up in the last month and a half of the pregnancy. I was somewhere between 175-185 before I got pregnant and got up to at least 227 at my last weight check before I had Lilly. I'm back down to 188 according to the scale at work on Tuesday. I've also been stressed like nobody's business, nursing two, been sick, and eating a relatively normal diet except for the past week almost. I've been begging friends to come over for meals so I have more than just me and a two year old to cook for. Speaking of... I need to get up and get moving on dinner. I still have belly fat and a little water still. I know I also slimmed down in other places while pregnant, so I'm not surprised about the weight loss. It's not like I couldn't stand to loose a little before I got pregnant anyway.

At my 6 week PP visit, I weighed 216. 7lbs heavier than when I got married and 4 children ago.....maybe I can be the slimmest I have been?!
