So I think that when I tried to change my mood, I accidentally set it to "horny" which I remember being one of the original options, but which now appears blank. Which is fine, MDC doesn't seem like the forum to announce that one is in need of sexual healing. But I can't seem to change it to anything else and I've been worrying that it will suddenly start showing up again, or that it shows up in Explorer but not Firefox, etc. Paranoid much?
So for the record, mamas, I AM NOT HORNY. Okay?
We took Conrad to the pede's today. He had lost 1 lb of birth weight, and made up 4 ounces in one day between hospital discharge and lactation consult the next day. In the past 5 days he has put on another 8 oz. Our first son, a beanpole of a boy, was at the 75th percentile for height and 25th for weight. Conrad is the opposite. Looks like he will be our stocky, strong child.
But the funny thing was the pede (they all look like high school students to us, and seem way too young to be doctors) sort of losing his composure when I started to nurse Conrad. I thought it was just me, but after he left, Jonny agreed that the poor guy was having a tough time. He lunged towards a blanket to offer it to me, and I politely declined and he sort of stammered that it was up to me (as though to put me at ease? which I already was). Jonny said he didn't know WHERE to look, and I noticed that he even had trouble saying the word breasts when we were talking about breast feeding.
: It was really funny -- and STRANGE. Surely pede's see more moms nursing? Or maybe more nursing moms are concerned with covering up the goods... I remember being the ONLY mama without a nursing drape at our birthing class reunion, post-Dylan. Or maybe I look like someone he used to sleep with, I don't know.
So that's my day. I'm not horny, and our pede is frightened of bosoms.
Carry on.

at the ped. Are you sure he *isn't* in high school? (Doogie Howser, MD?!) That would certainly explain his immaturity at *gasp* maybe catching a glimpse of a woman's *breast*!
