Nursing while driving case- interesting

This story really bothers me...I can't understand why this mother would be so irresponsible. This isn't a breastfeeding question...it's a safety question. Her child was in great danger. This mother's situation doesn't sound particularly wonderful. Her comments about following her husband's punishment was really off and very scary.

I just heard about this from someone else. Thank you for the link. I find this very, very disturbing & sad. I can't believe that Michigan has that exemption!!

Yeah, I agree. Safety first, even above breast first! Pull over and nurse, have someone else drive while you nurse acrobatic style while still buckled in (I know that truck drivers love that move!) I appreciate the spirit behind a breastfeeding exemption, but the reality is that there is no reason that someone can't pull over and just be late.
