My husband likes two-fers too..
Oh wait, this was about baby naming. My bad.

One girl's name I was considering was Ruby. The name of my Great Grandmother (my dad's grandma) who would have been this child's great-great grandma! She died in the last couple of years, just shy of her 100th birthday. Now that's an old name, eh?

Ooh, I like the name Ruby, I think its cute!

Hey, aren't all the "old" names like Ruby and Conrad supposed to be "in" now? Hannah and Helen and Abigail and all those "old" names are making it on the top 10 lists again...

Maybe you are one of those people who are getting in on the trend right before it starts...

Ruby was on my list and DH vetoe'd it! : Maybe next time.

ITA about a name being a little "too big" for a little kid being superb for an adult. There was a thread a while ago where someone wanted to name thier baby Cougar and someone (who thought it was a terrible name) said "can you imagine that on a business card?" I told DH about it- he's all about business and presentation- and he goes "That'd be awesome on a business card! I want that on my card!"

When I told my brother that we were thinking of Bridgette for this baby he says "No! That's a stripper name!"
