laundry question

This is even off topic for this thread but what the heck.

I need to clean and starch my dd curtains. I have no starch. Is there anything else I can use that would have the same or almost the same results?

I'm pretty sure you can just use a small amount of corn starch disolved in water and sprayed on the fabric. Maybe 1 TBS per spray bottle or so.
