My car window shade keeps falling down - HELP!

So I have one of those rear car window shades to help shade the babe's eyes. It attaches via suction cups, and the darn thing keeps falling down. In the cold, in the hot, when I lick the suction cups before attaching, if I don't.....

How do I get these darn things to stay up?

You probably won't like my answer.

Get rid of it and get one that attaches with static. The shades with suction cups are flying projectiles in car crashes and that is not safe. Do you want it flying at your babe's head at 50 mph?

Luckily, the static cling shades are pretty inexpensive.

Wow really? :

I am having the same problem with my shades. This was just happening to us today - they kept falling off, DD cried when the sun was in her eyes, I spit in the suction cups and they still kept falling.

I had the cling ones before these and they were awful - they wouldn't stay up either! Maybe there are better cling ones out there....

I hate to hear they are dangerous. My DD (who is 2 now at least not a tiny baby) screams her head off if the sun gets in her eyes and that is a safety hazard too! It is kind of hard to focus on driving while someone is screaming!
