If I dye my prefolds will it affect their absorbancy? Can I just use the regular dye you get at the drugstore?

Dying Prefolds?

Hi, just thought I chime in. I have dyed several prefolds and some flats and haven't had any problem with absorbancy. I have used the tie-dye kits and I have also used dylon dye (both found in the craft section of our w-m supercenter). It is fun and I love not having plain diapers. Have fun and good luck!

As the PP said it won't effect the absorbancy. You will want to get fiber reactive dyes wh/ are sold at craft stores in tie-dye kits. Do not use RIT and if you see Dylon dyes make sure they ARE the cold water dyes(fiber reactive) and NOT their all-purpose dye.
