We have an ooold heater (original to the house, so, 1960). It's just one unit on the wall in our family room. Today I had the gas co. come out to light the pilot, and when the guy turned the heater on, it smelled soooo awful. I've had to keep the door open for over an hour to get the smell out.

I know that it needs be cleaned, but I'm not exactly sure what I have to do to clean it. I'm sure that it hasn't be cleaned in a very, very, very long time. Any suggestions?
