Cravings?

I should have really clued in that I was pg before POAS when I was getting groceries and bought a family size jar of pickled herring.........
It has spiraled from there...I want smoked oysters and aged cheddar on crackers. I am also really loving spicy food!
(this is when I have an appetite - if I feel ill I find that nibbling a couple salted crackers is enough to make me genuinely hungry and not sick feeling)! :-))
Is anyone waking up in the middle of the night starving too?? I thought all this stuff didn't happen until later, but 1:30 a.m. I am so hungry it hurts!

I'm having more aversions than I am cravings. The thought of most foods makes me gag.

I'm craving a lot of fruits. And carbs- I'm loving the bread. Today I just had to have a Caesar salad.

I'm the same way, I told DBF last night that I need to start controlling myself or I'm going to gain 50 lbs.

I've been really hungry too. Sometimes, I feel out of control with it. It's crazy. This morning though, I couldn't eat my breakfast. I forced it and about 30 minutes later I felt soooo sick.

I am NOT craving veggies if that counts. I really only want meat, beans, sweets and tons of carbs. Forget the green. :

for once I am NOT craving sweets. I tried some chocolate almonds and thought they tasted stale (maybe they are? lol)
I want spicy and salty! Oh and I bought a jar of garlic stuffed green olives - so yummy!
I used to live on PB and bananas...and can't seem to find the urge to eat that anymore - not quite an aversion just no huge desire.

Anyone else getting the pg "stupids" already too? I seem to get confused and need bigtime diagrams for things. LOL And cooking and driving seem to be quite the task suddenly.

Hula, I think I am. I feel like I'm in Bizarro world. I'm trying to get it together but it doesn't always happen.

yes, I'm already feeling spun out, AND the inlaws are coming today for the weekend!!!

We don't want to tell anyone yet about the pregnancy, so I hope that they don't think I am suddenly stupid!

...I'm not craving any, one specific thing...just a whole lot of everything!

perhaps we should all start taking those weekly pregnancy photos now!

ughhh, another pregnant Christmas! I LOVE being pregnant, but it is hard NOT to eat everything in sight AND not let on/look pregnant

...hmm, maybe we'll start telling people earlier than we initially thought!

cheers,
charlene

I'm pregnant, nursing & STARVING. I really don't want to gain 80lbs like I did with my first pregnancy. It took a whole lot of kickboxing to get back into shape!

Kellymom says pregnant nursing moms should eat until they're full... I need WAY more structure than that. My hunger gauge is BROKEN I tell you! This morning I've had 2 oatmeal packets w/ a banana & a chai with milk (425 calories) STILL HUNGRY! ::

Crappy Food!!!

Well I thought I would reserect this thread since I am 7.5wks and feeling crazy CRAVINGS for CRAPPY FOOD:!! Like stuff I have not eaten in YEARS. Breakfast sandwiches from McDonalds, KFC, just total crap and everything has to be covered in CHEESE. OMGosh this is just not good.

Basically if I cooked it at home and it is good for you, organic, healthy (and tasty I might add) I totally don't want to eat it, even to the point that is makes my stomach turn. This morning and yesterday afternoon I went out to :, have not done that in a long time. Had a burger and fries yesterday with tons of mayo and bacon. And a Sausage, Egg and Cheese on a English this morning. Basically that is all I ate each day cause I could just not stomach anything that was even remotely good for me or made by me. I know all that horrible junk that is in each of those things, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Cured Bacon, Non organic Cheese, the list goes on BUT thats all I want. AHHHHH this is not good.

Craving pickles, green grapes and spicy caribbean food. My fave caribbean restaurant is about 45 minutes away and I'm tempted to ride all the way across town to get it. Tonight I craved spaghetti and nachos. I bought a a jar of pickles and ate the whole thing while I cooked.

At least I'm managing to snack on healthy stuff like grapes, veggies and chex mix during the day so I dont completely blow up.

I am nursing around the clock and starving! So far I really want protein -- beans, nuts, meat and cheese. Carbs too but I have to limit those because of blood sugar. Bean and cheese burritos sound delicious!!:

Everyday is different for me. I am off my spicy food kick and onto cereal. Soggy Life cereal to be exact! LOL OH, and tomatoes on toast with mayo and pepper. yum-o!
I too like the breaskfast sandwiches. With it being so hard to eat in the morning, that grease seems to entice the mouth a lot better than my chocolate instant breakfast! (and funny, my cereal doesn't actually appeal to me in the morning! lol)

I'm having the same stupid problem! If it's healthy, it really does turn my stomach. If it's so bad it's dangerous, it sounds gooooood! Somewhere in between, in the it'll-stay-down range, is where I try to eat.

And that bean and cheese burrito has me drooling over here.

Okay, ladies, a food craving CRISIS has occurred! Tonight, in the midst of some intense food cravings (and equally intense aversions to everything in my kitchen), I made a friend come and pick me up and drive me across town in the icy weather to my favorite Mexican restaurant. All I could think about was the tostadas nopalitos they serve there. I could see the meal laid out in front of me. I could SMELL it practically.

And then we arrived, only to discover that...

THEY CHANGED THE MENU.

No more tostadas. I almost started crying. Oh my...
