Myofascial Release and birth related treatments

Anyone have experience with what myofascial release can do for pregnant clients? I am getting treatment done for birth trauma to the vaginal area, anyone else have experience with this?

I have not had personal experience, but a fellow student midwife/friend of mine is a huge advocate of it and has had great experience with it personally.

I had several sessions of myofascial release in the third trimester. I can't say whether it "worked" or not... still had persistent posterior baby and loooong labor, but I'm sure it does something for some people. I could feel the release and the swaying, but I don't think I was as responsive as some people and the position I had to be in was very uncomfortable for me.
