The short update: Silas is fine - no galactosemia and gaining weight like crazy - from 8 lbs 12 oz on Friday to 9 lb 9 oz today!
Longer update: We saw the mw this morning & she still hadn't gotten the test results then but we begged her to bother the lab so she did. Got the results 3 hrs later & they are fine!!!!
So low that we don't have to keep checking his levels for the next month.
I am sooo very very happy and relieved that my baby is OK, that I haven't damaged his health by deciding to keep bf, that I can keep bf, that he doesn't have to have any more heel pricks. This is such a relief. I've been more stressed than I realized cause I spent all morning crying whenever I talked about it (that was before the results came in).
Now if only someone would heal my kitchen (but that's another thread).
