Wondering if anyone knows how I can re-use rain water? I know lots of people use it but just not sure how. LOL. Could Someone please help me out?

I use it on our garden. You can position a 55-gallon drum under your rain spout and use the water to water your garden in the summer.

This would be a great question to post in the country living/ off the grid forum, or even in gardening. Those mamas would have a lot of info for you! All I know is to put drums under your downspouts, and cover them so that they don't become mosquito breeding grounds, then use the water to water your lawn and garden. I think you can get drums that have spigots at the bottom, or other ways to easily get the water back *out*.

I went to a cabin once that used rainwater for their indoor plumbing. That is probably way more than you would ever want to do, but I thought I would put it out there

Yup. We're planning on starting this in the summer, to water the garden. I've also heard that it's amazing to wash your hair in. If we were living here more permanently, we'd probably set up a cistern system under the deck and collect larger amounts of rainwater for gardening and perhaps even treating it for other uses, but as we rent rain barrels are about as far as we're going to go... for now.
