I am so sorry

a few thoughts

one stress can really effect milk production -- it is a no win cycle -- you worry = there is a drop in production, you worry more = more dropp .... :

If you can ..... I would go to bed for a full 24 hours, or 48, just you and the baby ... skin to skin ... baby is just a diaper, you in pj bottoms and maybe a bar to hold on teh breast pads, if you are not leaking, no bar ......... cuddle, nurse, cuddle, sleep, cuddle nusre ......... unlimited access to teh boob; lot so skin to skin, lots of sleep .................

you'd be amazed how it can help ..............

also push WATER , drink more than you ever though you could possible need and then MORE

Thank you! I did have a bit of a breakthrough today- I accidentally squirted Mairaed in the face with breastmilk. This was huge- I have never had it come out in a jet before- it always just sorta dribbled out a bit. Also when I was feeding her and expressing it by hand, some actually leaked out her mouth! I was stunned. I guess I should have been more patient. I can't expect niagra falls right away....

Maisie-

I hope you are squirting milk across the room like crazy in the next couple days! Definately lock yourself up in the house and do the skin to skin like Aimee suggested. I think that helped me so much. And I second the water thing. I am finding you just can't have enough. Keep a bottle with you at all times and drink, drink, drink.

Keep posting and updating. That has been a lifesaver for me. I cried everyday for two and a half weeks and it really helped to post away. Seeing that I am not alone in my struggles helped.

I hear oatmeal helps increase your supply and I have also heard oranges help as well.

One caution on oranges... although all babies and mamas are different.... I found that citrus fruit did something to my milk that made Dylan REALLY gassy and fussy. I'm avoiding citrus with Conrad, just in case.
