I really like the President's Choice bags. And I get 3 cents off for every bag I use every time and something like 50 bonus points. It works out to a lot of free groceries. Plus they are really big and durable.

yeah..I like the PC ones too...I have 12. We use them for everything and have had them since the first week they came out...no handles have come off yet. They also hold a LOT of stuff.

I did get a nice one at the local health food store here but it cost $3 and the PC one cost only .99

I have four Acme Hemp double handle bags and have abused them for 2 years without any failures at all. Hemp is much stronger as a fabre than cotton so it doesn't need to be 'heavy' duty' to do the job. I used the bags daily to carry work folders paperwork and text books for my teaching; We use them daily for carrying all sorts of things on trips and out and about, we use them weekly for grocery shopping for a family of 6 - cans and all and they are holding up well.

Don't be fooled by the apparent lightweightness of the fabric: it has no bearing on the durability of the bag IME

I got mine (heavy canvas) from a co-op here a few years back. They're from the cloth bag co. (I think if you google that you can find 'em) and they were affordable with the co-op. Not sure how much they'd cost if you purchased them as an individual. I have 6 and use them not only for groceries but for library books and anything else heavy- they've been workhorses.

I use and LOVE the cart helper bag from reusable bags. It has clips on the sides so it stretches across the cart. You only need two bags to fill your whole cart! So, that means only two trips from the car to the house!!

I just bought the Planet Bag from amazon.com and I really like it. I'm tall so the long handles are perfect for me. And it holds a lot too.

I have a collection of canvas bags, and keep my eyes open for more when in a thrift store. We also have quite a few of the cheap store bags. They do alright, but one is falling apart.
