I have PUL and arctic fleece...

...can I use the arctic fleece to line a pocket with the PUL on the outside? Or will it be too thick?

I would say that would be overkill. It would work, probably not too bulky, depends on how thick your fleece is. But either the pul or the fleece by itself would be adequate.

I don't mean to have both as the outer...I mean use the fleece next to baby's bum with a stuffing in between the fleece and the PUL, which would be the outer. Could I use it instead of microfleece?

Thanks mama!

Oh, lol, I wasn't paying attention, when I reread it I realized you did say pocket... I don't know how thick artic fleece is, I would be afraid it would be too water resistant, is it like the cheap walmart fleece or the heavier stuff? I have used the cheapy stuff and it works ok, just gets nasty and pilly looking after a few uses. You could try it, I probably wouldn't waste the pul though in case it didn't work, I would go with suedecloth, it is way cheaper than microfleece and works better imo.

Try one and see. Most of the time it will work out fine. But sometimes the fleece has a finish or you have a super fast peer and the fleece can't absorb fast enough.

I prefer plain cotton inners, myself.

If it's like the Artic Fleece I have (got it at Hancocks) I think it's probably too thick as an inner. I'd go with either a cotton inner or suedecloth if you want stay-dry. The fleece will actually probably work as an outer for daytime use.

Thanks so much for your input, ladies!

I think I'll stick with flannel inners then.
