: nobody seems to like me, everybody seems to hate me, think i'll go and eat some worms...big fat juicy ones, little tiny skinny ones...

no really, where IS everyone lately? sigh... anyway, i bought one of those vagisil kits and tested myself at home. looks like it 'could' be a Y/I but still not sure. called my MW and will see her tomorrow morn to do a swab test. don't know when she'd get that back though as she mentioned sending it off. hmmm. i'm so itchy and it burns. gotta get some relief before i go into labor as this could really be irritating while trying to push a baby outta there. oh the things we women go thru........................ :

as for mucous, sure was a nice sized glob, about size of a quarter...MW said could be for sure part of my plug......also good thing is she had a mom who was in the process of pushing her baby out so now i'm in the clear of having to worry about my MW being w/ this other mama....yay! so far, no more globs...come on globs...come ON!!!

Sigh...I've been having decent discharge too, and I was all stoked thinking it was leading up to something. Then the itching started. Damn! I go all pregnancy with only one yeast infection (2nd month), and now I have one at 39.5 weeks? What's with that? I already have to take the antibiotics for GBS, now this. AND I've been eating plain yogurt like crazy. :

It's great that she was with the other mommy, thus clearing her schedule!

I was SO afraid that I would be left alone. One of the MW's had even left all her equipt. with another mama, but was able to be with me. It worked out well. Here they had about three moms ready to pop and instead I went early, out of the blue. *giggle*

It could be a YI, but sometimes I get irriated just by there being more moisture down there. You can get some cream to take away the external itching! I hope it isn't a YI and that things get moving for you soon!

tested myself w/ one of those vagisil home test kits for vag infections last night...i wouldn't recommend these...it said it was a possible y/i...was yellow like the first 2 colors on their pH strip. then this morning i was still itchy and when i did a test 'dip' inside my vagina, it seemed cottage cheesy. saw MW at 10am and told her my new symptoms...we decided to fan the swab as we would have to wait for results and to just do tea tree oil douches and rubbing some on my vaginal opening. also going to take probiotics and tonight gonna put one or two of those in my vagina as well as in my mouth. oh and also put some on my nipples she said. also drinking apple cider vinegar w/ honey in hot water which megh and LOVE to drink anytime anyway...my MW said often monistat has proven to cause water to break prematurely...in my case it isn't necessarily 'premature' but if baby's head isn't in right position it could cause problemos.....soooo we decided to go this route first and if it isn't improved by monday we'll try some other remedy. i am soooo swollen just from having baby down there pressin on my vagina. my inner labia and clitoris are incredibly blown up...and feel raw. hate that feeling. sigh...anyway, so that's the scoop. no more mucous goin' on...don't know wth that was......

MW also gave me some homeopathic remedies to take in am and in pm and alternate them...one is black (or is it blue...i get them mixed up...) cohosh in it...she figured i wouldn't be up for tincture of it...i said NO WAY. i've seen how powerful that stuff can be as a doula. whew! she also said next week we'd do a NST to cover bases and make sure baby is alright in there and that week 42 would be an u/s to make sure all is well. sigh..................now i'm starting to feel the pressure on. come on sheamas. come on. *** posted this portion in our overdue mama thread too.

I have been keeping the YI's under control by putting tea tree oil and Epsom salts in my bath water and soaking for about 20 minutes a night until it's gone.
The Epsom salts help the Oil absorb into the water instead of just floating around on the top of the water.

If you have a bath tub it is definitely worth a try.

Good Luck Mama....I am hoping that you will have your baby soon. You sound like you are really ready to meet him...

oh thank you! i'll do this too-i have some epsom salts already... the more the merrier to get this itchy infec away. yes, i am so ready to meet my sheamas. last night i thought i might have been having a very mild ctx but it was either his position which was rock hard or it was a big time BH. which i have often. probably not a 'mild' ctx. i would have known it if it were one, i'm sure...

Great idea - I've never heard of that one before, but I'll give it a try. I already took care of this YI with an OTC med, but I think a tea tree oil/epsom bath every week or so might help keep future YIs at bay.

i've been fine all day until now and i cannot stop itching my vagina...omg it is driving me batty. now i'm afraid to get into a tea tree oil bath as it might burn/sting from my irritating it more. probably is itching like mad now since its about time i flushed and inserted some probiotics and lay down. vagi-gi is crying out for some relief i bet. and here i made it all worse. do u think the tea tree oil will sting it?????

***ok, just got out of tub...not irritating at all!in fact i feel better. its when i rubbed straight TT oil around my vaginal opening yesterday that really was tooo much. i know now to dilute that too! yowch! thanks for the epsom/TT bath tip. very nice!!!
