That's great!

Aww, Jess, that's wonderful. I'm glad for ANYTHING that gives you some peace and comfort in this hard, hard road you're walking. If I had milk I'd send it, but in the absence of that, I send my thoughts and prayers every single day.

Wow I'm just reading you story now but you sound like an amazing woman and an incredibly strong mama. Healing vibes coming your way.

I'm in Canada and I don't imagine getting BM over the border is easy but next time I head to the US, I will bring my pump and see what I can pump for you. I haven't attempted to pump since DS was only 1 m/o (nearly 2 years ago) but if there is anything I can do, I will. I'll ask my LLL group next month if anyone can help out!

So glad to hear all is going OK with the expressed milk. If you need more feel free to let me know. I donated to an MDC mama in need before so I would be happy to start pumping again for you too...Keep us posted!

Just wanted to give the mamas that have recently posted on this thread a link to an update on mighty-mama. http://www.mothering.com/discussions...1#post10058391

Unbelievable. I'm just so stunned, my fingers feel numb just typing this. I just can't believe it.

I second the offer of breastmilk; I have to pump at work anyways, it only takes a few more seconds to pump extra ozs. We're dairy free, too.

I am so glad your baby is so wonderfully cared for; you have obviously fought harder battles than most parents ever dream of, and refused to take the easy road.

I keep imagining a smiling milkie-fed baby, and my heart warms.

I'm done blathering, thoughts and prayers.

There is a lady that used to work at my WIC office and she also has cancer and a little baby named Gavin. It made me really curious if It was the same person. I know she also pumped breastmilk and fed it to her baby. Maybe this is coincidence, or is it really such a small world???

I don't know if she ever worked for WIC, she lived in NJ though, so if it was a NJ WIC then maybe.
