Desert Changed her Dress. -- Snow!

My craving for home, New England, was dancing this AM out side in
the snow fall. Yes, it was silly and just what I needed.

I wish Gerald was here, but then I am always thinking that it seems.
I hope it snows after he gets home next month or else I do not think
I will be able to tell him no if he wants to travel to get to snow.
Poor guy left with a baby not yet walking and is now coming home to
an amazing toddler and brand new baby. He has no idea what life is
like now but I am sure will learn fast. Not sure a long road trip
with three kids will be as fun as he thinks, but I could be wrong!

With this new winter dress though, the desert certianly looks like a
different world and it is very beautiful.

My children just woke up, and we are not up normally at this time.
Crystal came running in to tell me about the snow. LOL She missed me
freezing in my nighty out in it a while ago. Now keeping her inside
till sun up shall be a challenge. She is busy looking for snow cloths
for her brother now. LOL

I think of how much magic water has had for me in my life. I miss
the ocean, the rivers I grew up near, and the snow. I feel badly my
children do not see those things more often, and yet clearly they
feel how amazing it is even here, or maybe specially here.

I hope you all find a way to enjoy it and keep safe if you have to
be on the roads.

Thanks for letting me ramble.

Aah, yes, 't is the season to be homesick....:

Come visit us in NH whenever you feel like waking up to 10 plows in a row at 5am, when you miss skidding around on the icy streets cursing out the dumb drivers who have mighty big SUVs but obviously no headlights on them. When you miss freezing the tip of your nose off in 20F and it takes you 30 minutes to get all kids dressed warmly enough not to freeze solid from your door to your car. When your $50 gas bill turns into a $200 bill and you got the humidifiers on constant HIGH not to have your dry skin flake off you and most of all: fall on your arse as soon as you set foot outside - come see me if that's what you need!

I really love winter, really!
