Gurgling, water bubbling sound from 8 mo PG tummy

Is this normal? I am a bit freaked out because the last time I heard this my water broke the next day and I went into labour with dd#1.

I am 33 wks and working my tail off....tonight I felt some pain on the right side of my uterus about the height of my belly button, and heard sounds like air bubbles escaping, gurgling....for several minutes. I wondered if there was a small tear in the sac, or if babe was pushing out meconium (being paranoid--dd#1 passed mec in the fluid), or if it's just normal and nothing. I started to get pains on the right side of my pelvis and felt muscle tightening. It's quieted down now. What is that gurgling sound? If I hear it again should I just ignore it?

Many TIA

Not a pro... but I heard those noises all the time with both pregnancies and it was never an indication of my water breaking or meconium. I would assume that even with a small tear you would be leaking something.

Thanks, that's reassuring.

Do you know how to listen to the baby's heart rate? That may be reassuring for you and DH to do that.
You might find that the gurgles are intestinal noises if you listen all around your belly.
You can also ask for an ultrasound if you are really worried.
You say you are working your tail off. I suggest finding ways to take it easier. What can you let go of? Who can you ask for help? Resting and reducing stress are very important. If you are stressed the baby is also stressed.
