Final outcome of forced retraction complaint

I am so sorry! What a crock of ----! Even if the board did not agree that retraction was bad, they at least should have done something about the NP doing something like that against your express wishes. :
I hope that the dr's at least take it seriously in the future, since you had the guts to take them to the board about it. Even if it was dismissed, it likely caused them some headaches.
Is there anywhere you can leave comments about/complaints against them so that future parents can be warned?

It may not be the outcome that we all hoped for, but the fact that they left the 2nd complaint open to be used for future cases means that the practice can't do this again or the board will view it much more seriously.

If their own board doesn't feel the need to slap their molesting hands, would the next step be to get a lawyer? Or is this the end?

Either way, I'm sorry. And if (and only if) your son were up for it, I'd take it to the media.

I'm so sorry for the outcome. It is so scary to know that this can happen and they can get away with it with no consequences.

Sorry, that stinks

I am so sorry.. I would feel very violated as a parent (not to mention what the child must be going through). Not suprised.. but sorry.:

I'm furious for you and your son both. Maybe we can brainstorm some ways to do more. I would certainly write a letter! I'm sorry this has happened. :

I'm so sorry. I am furious for you and your son. That outcome makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me.

I'm still boiling over this. I can only imagine how you and your DS must feel.

In the interest of brainstorming: Have you contacted DOC and NoCirc for ideas and support? I'm sure you've thought of all this. I just keep hoping against hope that at the very least something convinces them that what they're doing is harmful. It's offensive enough that they promote forceful retraction, but supporting the NP who did it spitefully against patient and parent wishes just .

I'm sorry. That is complete BS.

I know there is a lawyer in GA who has taken such cases at either a very reduced or pro bono rate, is there any way you could get in touch with NOCIRC or other groups and try to find a lawyer who will file criminal or civil charges against not only these Drs. but the board for ruling against evidence based medicine that is clearly AAP standard?
Im so sorry! I would definitely contact NOCIRC and find out what other courses of action you can take.

I can't beleive they found "nothing wrong" with the NP who flat out LIED to you about the exam she was doing! Even if the "officials" think forced retraction in general is acceptable, how can it ever be OK to do something against the parents' specific consent?

Please keep exploring any other options you may have- a phone call or email to NOCIRC and/or DOC wouldn't be too straining on you- then you can decide what, if anything, to do when they respond to you.

Would it be possible for your son to sue the NP in small claims court for pain and suffering (if he' up to doing something like that). That way you don't need a lawyer involved.

Well, at least you made the NP and those 2 doctors go into court and have to defend themselves. Plus YOU know that you did all you could to try and stop them from doing this to somebody else.
