So glad you checked in to let us know how you are doing.
It's not unusual for baby to seem to gulp back milk from a bottle - it has to do with the speed and type of flow. This is also why he may get frustrated at the breast - because he's gotten used to a rapid flow from the breast.
Are you working with an LC now? The critical thing is to ensure that he's getting enough calories in him to keep growing - however, bottlefeeding has disadvantages (that you're clearly experiencing). Other options for supplementation are using an SNS or finger/cup feeding.
The other key to keeping him at the breast is keeping your supply up - an LC can give you advice specific to your feeding patterns, but usually it's suggested that you take fenugreek and blessed thistle (not milk thistle) 2-3 caps 3 times per day. Oatmeal and drinking to thirst are also helpful. Domperidone or Reglan are medical options as well.
Thanks again for coming back to let us know how you're doing - keep posting and let us know how you're doing.
