Please help with chapped skin on DS

DS has severely chapped cheeks and chin. It started last weekend and has preogressively gotten worse. It started on the chin and is now up to the hairline and on his ears. Seems like it got worse after he stayed with a friend on monday who put vasiline on his chin. All I know is that now it is a mix of raw and ultra dry skin. I have put lanolin and breast milk on it (weird I know- but seems like if it helps nips heal it would work on a face too). If I can't figure something out soon I will have to take him to the dr and I don't really want to go there. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It pains me to see him like this- it looks so painful!

Hi, my older DS's face gets like this. I use vitamin E oil and it really helps. Sometimes jojoba oil too. Anyway, the trick is to do it several times a day, particularly after coming in from the cold, or after cleaning his face. Good luck!
