Can you use this grinder to grind grains?

What else do you use it for?

Do you have a link. I thought I had most attachments for the KA stand mixer... but I am not sure what you are talking about.

I have only used mine to grind meat. I have never used it for grains. I am not sure how it would work since it has a blade in it that basically slices up the meat then pushes it through the grinder.

Kitchenaid may have one specifically for grains.

Kitchenaid does make a grain mill attachment which sells for around $150. It's not the same thing as the meat grinder, though.

I bought one when I bot my kitchenaid last Thanksgiving. By July I had a Nurtimill.

The kitchenaid attachment doesn't grind the grain fine enough. Even when I ran it through twice on the finest setting it wasn't as fine as flour you would purchase is. The Nutrimill or the other grain mills give you a much finer grind.
