What is the best way to wash silk?

I dunno, I just use the washer and never put it in the dryer.

Hand wash or machine wash delicate cycle, line dry inside, iron on silk setting. I use liquid dish soap, usually.

Prolonged wetness (like overnight) or sun exposure can damage or fade silk. I dry many things draped over the upstairs banister ... which works great IF you have one.

I am not a fan of ironing ... this is why I only have cotton table napkins these days
