And is there anywhere affordable to buy it in quantities in glass? It kind of grosses me out to think about it leaching into the oil, but the gallon of Nutiva that i buy is so affordable, and we go through a fair amount. Any thoughts?

I think since it comes in #5 plastic and it isn't heated, it is ok. I used to try to find a glass one as well until someone pointed out to me that before they put it in glass for me, it is stored in plastic so the glass.
I do plan to move some CO into a jar and keep the bucket in a cold place to minimize chance of any reaction. I think the fridge will be ok.

Mountain Rose Herbs is probably even cheaper than the Nutiva by the gallon. Theirs also comes in plastic, but you could always warm the oil and transfer it into glass jars yourself if it was a concern. With MRH then it'd likely only be in the plastic when it goes from them to you.

All the brands that I have seen that are in glass jars are bought from a distributor in large plastic pails and they melt it and put in small jars. If you buy Mountain Rose Herbs, you can transfer it to glass jars.
