Opinions on Trader Joe's Dishwasher detergent (powder)?

Is it any good? I currently use ECOS tablets or 7th Generation powder, but it would be nice to be able to buy the TJ's powder since it's local to me and the others I have to buy online.

Our water isn't too hard or soft, and our dishwasher is just a few years old.

I wasn't impressed. THe only thing that's worked for me is the Ecover tablets.

I do like the TJ powdered detergent compared to the other "natural" detergents.

With that said, no "natural" dish washing detergent has worked perfectly for me. Aprox. every two weeks I run a load with a conventional detergent. I open the windows and keep the family away from the kitchen and the fumes when I run my conventional load.

I have found that conventional detergents leave my washer looking dingy and my dishes with food and stains on them.

i've tried almost all of the natural brands and the ecover tablets are hands down the best.

Used to use it all the time but was never very impressed with it. I used to add white vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher to "boost" the TJs. Finally, I got tired of the film.

I'm going to search for the Ecover based on the recs above.

google it. I see you can get it from Amazon - in large quatities. I also checked the Whole Foods Market web site for products and it's listed. I'm going to WF tomorrow anyway so I'll probably buy it!

I haven't had any complaints, but dh hates it. I think he just uses too much per load.
