The Lovely Bones

Did anyone read this book? It was the last good book I read - but, I haven't had much time for reading lately. I really liked it overall but I was let down at the end. The whole thing about having sex with her old flame seemed overdone; I felt like the emphasis was being put on the wrong point somehow.

What did you think?

I felt the same way. I kept thinking, "What?!? She's a kid!" We read it in my book group, but I was amongst the minority in this. Other people were more concerned about the whole switch, etc. But yeah, I was let down by that scene too. Otherwise, I thought it was a very good book.

I read this awhile ago and was dissapointed with it(besides the big build-up on that 'scene' with the switch and sex)

I just didnt get enough info on the items I cared about (but I didnt write it, so thats understandable lol)

It was very blah and true-to-life, I guess, thats what happens with most of these murders, cases, unresolved, etc....but with all the other outlandish and 'otherworldly' events, i really expected more overall.

its been awhile so maybe i dont remember enough.

I read it and then right after it read her memoir called "Lucky" - Great!!! It really helps you to see deeper into "The Lovely Bones" and the issues touched on there.
