Goals...

I would have to say that my goals are pretty easy.

First to get into better shape and perhaps drop a few pounds. I know, I am pg, I am not suppose to lose weight. But I have lost weight with the last five babies, so I am praying this one will be the same. I just tend to gain it back while I am nursing. Go figure! I am built backwards!

I also want to get my books finished and sent to a publisher.
Organize my house better. We just moved a couple of months ago.
And implement a better schedule for everyone. I like very general schedules.

my biggest thing is to declutter.
and maybe have DS out of diapers by the time this one is born. that would be really nice.

Learn how to grocery shop and eat better. Oh, and cook the stuff, too.

Save up some money. Maybe get a better vehicle. (we are driving a 1993 Honda Civic with almost 300k miles on it... runs great, but the interior is falling apart!) or at least get a/c for the car we have!

Lots of things that I wish were in my control but weren't... get DS to start walking and using the potty (consistently... not just part time EC). Be prepared for birth. Find a way to communicate with DH about my need to not have a MW present (long story).

Survive the holidays without debt.

Learn how to not overdraw the checking account. (ie, learn how to take DH's debit card away)

Keep on truckin' when it comes to nursing DS. I WILL SURVIVE.

Clean my garden tub (for birthing) just once with bleach (ick ick ick)

Discover which detergent is right for our diapers. Right now we're using sposies cause I haven't unlocked the magic combo. AND THEY ARE ICKY EWWWWWWWWW. (we just moved from well water to city water)

Oh, boy....declutter is a big one for me! I'm about uh, 0% done. Ick! I said this with DD2 and didn't ever do it. Now it's driving me crazy! Must organize. I can not have 3 children and have things not have a place.

Remodel the kitchen! Been bugging DH to get going for a while. I have gorgeous stainless appliances sitting in boxes and I want them in! I just about had a fit using my single oven for the holidays while my new double is sitting boxed up. When the weather gets warm again we're gutting and it's all grill meals until we're done.

Put the finishing touches on both girls bedroom decor and convert playroom to nursery. Not that I really need to do that right away. The girls may as well enjoy the playroom a while longer while baby is sleeping with us.

Knock out some sewing projects and hopefully some CD's.

Lots of spring landscaping and start a regular exercise routine.

I'm tired just thinking about it, so off to sit and do absolutely none of the above!

yeah, buying a new car is a big one for me. no way i'm going to fit 3 kids in my current car.

my house is pretty well decluttered. i give stuff away a lot. and we just bought the house in january so i did a big decluttering when we moved in.

my biggest goal i guess is to get our remodeling started. it sounds so huge and undoable to me right now. but i want to add another bedroom and bathroom on the upstairs, remodel the downstairs and possibly finish the basement. i would at least like to have the extra bathroom done, and the upstairs bedrooms. right now i have no idea how likely it is we will get that started.

but if we get that done, we will be able to get a bigger bed (we have a queen now) that will fit all the kids and me. and hopefully dp, too, cause right now he sleeps in dds room. lol.

mom2lexandclay, i want to do some major landscaping this spring, too. well, at the very least, i want to get a big veggie garden going. i was really depressed last spring and didn't do one, and i totally regretted it by the time summer came around. and ds really wants to grow pumpkins.

sorry for the novel, dudes.

I can't think past the first trimester right now. I'm just feeling so unmotivated and crappy. I'd like to not fall completely behind in schooling (although we're pretty behind already). Other than that I won't get motivated until around week 18 or so.

My biggest goal is to make it past 35 weeks. I'm high risk because of 'prior premature labor and birth,' per my file, so I just want to make it to nine months. I also want to be able to be active this time - I was on strict no-lifting, no-exercise, no-sex, no-strenuous-activity-whatsoever after 12 weeks last time, so I was a virtual couch potato for 4 months. Blech, not again, please! I gained SO much weight. This time, my goal is 15-20 pounds (I'm a little overweight as it is).

Other than that, I'm also in the declutter camp. I need to switch DS's room and the sewing room, because the sewing room is larger and can hold both his bed and the baby's crib. As a baby, DS hated co-sleeping and could only sleep soundly in a crib (now, he takes up most of a king-sized bed!). I want to have it up just in case, and for when I go back to work. DH is NOT a good co-sleeper! He sleeps way too lightly.

I also want to get some of DS's old clothes and things listed and sold on eBay/Craigslist so I have a baby fund. Now that we have a house and the mom-mobile, money is a bit tighter than it was when we were awaiting DS. AND his carseats will be expired by the time the baby is here, so that's one more big expense I wasn't expecting (or rather thinking about...).

- knock down the garage
- get plans finished with architect for new garage and remodeling of our house
- finish writing cookbook
- finish boys' sandbox and picnic area
- finish baby #2's first scrapbook

I need to get DD's scrapbook updated. From birth to 1 year, that is.

I would also really like to keep my weight gain at or under 30 pounds this time. Unless I find out it's twins

Increase my diaper stash.

Have the circ talk with DH....

Figure out how the heck we are going to pay the MW. At this point it looks like we will need a loan. Fortunately the chances are god that we will get $$ back from insurance.

*pay off DH's student debt
*pay off my credit card
*make diapers while I'm still employed and have the cash
*finish deep cleaning the house (basement DONE!)

Start (and finish) dd's scrapbook of her first year.

Help DD potty learn before the baby comes.

That's it, really. I swore all my kids would have a scrapbook of at least their first year. Well, ds has one finished, and dd's is sitting empty with all the pictures still on our computer... so....

We're moving in the middle of this pregnancy, so I gues that's one of my goals--to get everything packed up well and moved to wherever we're going.

I need to find a midwife wherever that is. I'll end up w/ a UC if I can't find one.

I want to have at least 3 pairs of longies for next fall/winter and maybe 2 pairs of shorties for when the baby comes. I'll be knitting those myself.

I want to get all of my unfinished knitting and sewing projects done before I start anything new, including for the baby.

I need to sew diapers for the new baby so I don't have to buy any. I think I'll break down and buy half a dozen infant size Ecobabies, though. I just love them!
* Save up $2000 by June for the midwife (yikes! That's giving me nightmares! )
* Make it to at least 36 weeks (DS was a 31-weeker)
* Declutter the toy room and DS's room
* Build a diaper stash big enough to CD at least part-time
* Pay down as much of the CC bill as possible before having to pay for 2 in daycare
