Ours up and moved to Mexico when I was 20 weeks pregnant. We had planned that he would have more of a relationship with the baby-and it looks like it's going to much different that we had imagined. You have to be willing to communicate communicate communicate.

However, we had been planning on making him a legal guardian in case something were to happen to both of us. We decided to not do this because we feel it would be traumatic for our child if we were to both die-and then suddently move from Chicago to Mexico. So we decided to make my brother our legal guardian-as he would be able to asess the situation and I know he would make the decision that's in the best interest of the baby. We aren't going to tell KD this until AFTER the second parent adoption goes through. It's unlikely he would change his mind-but we decided to not take chances.

Our KD has given up his rights to the baby-it's the same process of putting up an unborn child for adoption. However he has 72 hours after the baby is born to change his mind.

BTW-we don't regret our decision in the least. It's just that when you use a KD you have a third person who you have to deal with-good and bad.
