intro

congrats to everyone!!!!!!

we just found out through a HPT yesterday morning that we are expecting our second. i'm not positive on a due date, but it's around august 13th.

our first is a 15 month old boy named connor.

we are in the middle of a transition of moving. we just came from az to il, and in a few months to oh!

i am really hoping for a waterbirth this time around. but the nearest birthing center to where we are moving is about an hour and a half away. and we're not completely comfortable with a home birth for us. so i'm not sure what our birth plan is yet. but we have plenty of time! hah.

Hi Mamas,

I'm due sometime around 8/15 -- I'm thinking it will be later in the month.

I have a 5 yr old boy and a 2 yr old dd. Both were born at home and we will plan for the same with this one.

Hey everyone! Congrats to you all!

I'm due around August 8, 2008 with my 6th child; I have 5 daughters, ages 10, 8, 6, 4, and 22 months. Pray this one sticks too.: I want to see the before I'm comfortable...

ETA: All 5 were born in hospitals, natural all the way. I'm not sure where I'll deliver this one; I have a hard time making it to the hospital in time! We're like drive-thru deliveries!

Due "date": Mid August.

5th Pregnancy, and praying for, 2nd full term, live birth! My ds was born in August of 04 at home and in water. Plan on doing that again.

Still a little hesitant to admit I am pregnant because of the past two pregnancies this year but am feeling pretty good about it so far.

I've never been in a "due date club" before, how fun!

I am 5 weeks 2 days pregnant with #4. My other three were born at home, unassisted by any "professional" baby catcher. They are 5, 3 and 2. I've heard it gets easier having more kids as the first kids get older. Hope that's true!

you and I are in this together. The heat in Georgia in the summer is unbearable. I feel bad for my parents and my boyfriend when May approaches...

EDD: 8/23/08

This is our second baby. DS #1 was born in in a hospital as will this little bugger.

Wow - I was not looking forward to being 9 months pregnant in summer in Connecticut - I can only imagine what it's like in GA and TX!

I'm Denice, and this is baby #3 for me. It seems completely unreal. This baby is a true surprise!

I'm "due" at the end of August. My other 2 children and Sam, who will be 3 in January, and Abigail, who turned 1 in September. Both of my children were disastrous hospital births, and I still have tons of weird stress about even being near hospitals, so this baby will be born at home. DH is a little nervous about it, but he realizes it's a much better option for our family.

Joining, shyly ...

Not feeling really ready to talk about the pg yet. Haven't told family, just a close friend or two.

But don't want to lurk silently, so, deep breath.

EDD: Aug 11.

3rd.

Planning to finish writing entire dissertation before Aug! So my focus is a little, um, distracted.

Processing, in the back of my mind, whether to attempt a vba2c (both times tried hard for a natural unmedicated labor, last attempt in water with doula etc..., but 2 sections anyway.)

Nice to meet you all.

I'm due August 22nd with our 7th (eight pregnancy).

Samantha, 12, was born at the hospital.
Jake, 9, was born at the hospital.
Kirsten, 8, was born at the hospital.
Avery, 6, was born at a birth center.
Sophie, 4, was supposed to be born at home, but ended up at the birth center.
Gage, nearly 2, was born at home.

This will most likely be a birth center baby. Our insurance covers none of a home birth, and as we just moved and upped our mortgage payments, money is tight.

WE haven't told anyone IRL yet, and don't plan too for quite some time. With Gage, we waited until I was 20 weeks, and this one will probably be longer. I'm thinking May will be a good time to tell people.
