Just wanted to let everyone know that my intact DS is now six months old and leaving him intact was the very best decision we possibly could have made, period. I would never have thought twice about circumcision until I found this forum while I was pregnant, and I can't begin to explain how glad I am to have found such a great resource. When he was a few weeks old, his pediatrician retracted him, and when I reported it to this forum, I followed your advice and found a new pediatrician. Our new pediatrician is anti-circ, has an intact son, and has not even touched DS's little parts. My DH is now completely anti-circ, although it took some convincing at first. We have a lot of support from two male friends who are intact, and that was really helpful to DH when we were deciding whether or not to circ.
My SIL is pregnant, and if it is a boy, my wonderful DH is going to sit down and have "the circumcision talk" with his brother in hopes that we can prevent at least one other baby from having it done.
So that's my happy circ story. I just wanted to thank all of the mamas on this board who have always been so informative and positive! You really helped us make a postive, informed decision that truly benefitted our little guy.
