Ugh, transferred to the hospital with crappy health ins.

I had a third-stage hemorrhage and a retained placenta, so I transferred after the baby was born. We basically only have "major medical" health insurance (basically covers nothing except dismemberment, MAYBE) and my bill is $3000, not including the ambulance bill, which also isn't covered. :

However, I would also be paying that amount if I'd planned and given birth in the hospital.

I guess this is more of an insurance rant than anything. Just

Do you have Rural Metro down there? I am always worried about that since we have Rural Metro that we have to pop for. Well that and if they get here at all. Good thing we don't live far from a hospital since I don't trust them.
