PP mamas - what are you wearing?

I've been bumming around in sweats and tees since James was born, but I realize eventually I'll have to leave the house in something a little more respectable. I don't expect to be back to my pre-pregnancy size now, but this in-between sizing is killing me.

I've lost a lot of the weight I gained, but "contents may have settled during shipping" and my shape is different. Anybody else like this? Are you buying a few pants to get through this transition? How long will I look like a deflated Thanksgiving parade balloon?

I am not really sure yet myself. I have jeans I wear when I must go out, they are the low pregnancy ones and so they never did go over my belly and though I have to hike them from time to time they fit better then most everything else right now. Tops are hard too. The boobs are BIG and most of my tops are low cut but now just look sluty if I can wear them at all as the nursing bras are shaped differently and show under those shirts. I need to get some bursing tops that actually git. Seems like everything is just too big or too tight up top.... I can not win. I need thin my whole closet and go shopping for just a few things till I know what I am working with. My top should not get smaller I am thinking so I should get some tops that work!

When the men in choir talk to my boobs and not me one has to wonder if I can put off shopping much longer. LOL

I am back in my regular size (haleh-freakin-luyah!) but my belly is bigger and squishy and spills over my pants. *sigh*

But still, comfort rules. Nothing too uncomfortable.

I am wearing my regular bras and popping out of those like a mad woman. Especially on one side. It looks really terrible.

For better or worse, I am wearing my maternity clothes and my fat clothes from pre-Weight Watchers. It's going to be a long road to get back to my "old" size...

I'm wearing maternity clothes and some of my larger t's from prepregnancy. But they are the maternity clothes I wore in the first half, mostly. I have a few pairs of yoga pants, one size larger than normal that I wore through most of my pregnancy and can still wear now. They're awesome! Got them from Sam's so they were pretty cheap too. I've also got 2 pairs of maternity low-rise jeans that fit nicely, but like Kimmy, I do have to hike them up from time to time. And some of my more fitted maternity shirts from early on, look nice now too, they're loose, but they don't look like maternity.

ugh, this is my main complaint.

I've gone from a 4 to like an 8 in jeans - all bc my hips are sooo spread apart. Granted, im 2 weeks out...but, this is crazy! So, the 8 jeans falls off me everywhere else, but fits great in the hips. SIGH.

On a more positive note, my belly is near normal (or I can tuck in into my pants, ) but I need bigger shirts bc of my bodacious boobs!!

you mena I can't live in yoga pants FOREVER.. arghhhhhhh.. I am definitely "in between" sizes and HATE to buy pants that (hopefully0 I will be too small for SOON... I am not sure what I will do.. I have ONE pr of stretch microcords that were big on me prepreg that I can CRAM into but need a bigger shirt to go over the waist area.. ya know??? still wearing my not so PG looking mat shirts just the plain long sl T ones...I was just thinking to post this Q...

The bad news ladies, is that your hips may never go back to your prepregnancy size, no matter how much weight you lose. The good news, is that they may. By 2-3 months pp, we'll all have a much better idea if the weight will be coming off very slowly (or not at all ) or many of you will be back to wearing all of your prepregnancy clothes. After my first, I was back in my size 8 "skinny" jeans (that was my prepregnancy size) by 2 months pp, but not so after my second child. Hoping I lose this weight a bit quicker this time and don't retain an extra size like I did last time.

Let's not even go there. I have, if possible, even fewer options now that I am not pregnant.

About two pairs of yoga pants and one pair of preggo under belly jeans fit me. Everything else that I wore during pregnancy is too big and none of my regular clothes would fit - considering that I was an 8 before and I tried on a pair of size 16 pants left over from many years ago and it was too small, that's really saying something. I'm hoping to get into the 14s and 16 soon, and then I think I kept a selection of 12s and 10s from last time around when I slowly went down from size to size.

And tops - yeah, the big boobs really do make everything fit horrendously, and the tops that do fit OK aren't really that good for nursing or are so low cut that I can't wear them and my nursing bras.

And let's not forget that everything I wear is covered by leaking milk, spit up milk, pee and projectile poop within minutes of being put on.

I'm wearing my maternity skirts still or unzipped skirts w/ a bella band (which I did while preggo as well) as for shirts.. I went to walmart and the mall and bought 5 cheapo big shirts and am wearing those for now

The only things I can wear are yoga pants and maternity T-shirts. With these boobs there is no way I could wear my regular shirts. My waist has shrunk a LOT, but my hips and legs? Not so much. I've already lost 3 inches in my hips but I've got 3 more to go. My maternity pants and jeans look like sausage cases on me. I grew out of them at like 7 months pregnant. And now the belly panel sags so there isn't a single part of them that fits me. *sigh*

Last time it took me 10 months to lose all but 7 pounds of my pregnancy weight so I am just going to have to be patient. I will definitely have to buy some things once I start leaving the house. Or I'll just wear a coat over my yoga pants butt. Thank goodness for winter!

I have the expanded hip issue too. My tummy is gone (or like above, can be tucked into my pants. ), and my weight is only about 6-9lb over pre-preg, but size wise I was about a 6 and now am trying to get my hips into an 11. Yeah, with only a few lb net gain. At least my rack looks good.

I thought maybe I was the only one in this boat. I remember being able to get into a slightly bigger size regular pant after Gracie was born last year but maybe I am pushing things. Zachary was 3 weeks old on Saturday and the only thing I can get into is my maternity jeans, some yoga pants from pre-pregnancy and a few pairs of workout type pants from Wal-mart. T-Shirts or maternity tops that don't look too maternity and that's about it. I am extremely bummed about it because I don't feel like I just gave birth 3 weeks ago but I definitely look like it!!! Of course I am loving the new and improved busom. I had forgotten about that perk from having Gracie.

Well, at least I'm not alone. FIL said I looked homeless with my oversized, run-down clothing.

I had my mom pick me up a few larger-sized pants, but one was still too small. The other fit great in the hips, but she accidentally got me a petite size, so the leg stopped 3 inches above my ankle. I guess I'll have to head out and look for something to wear one of these days if you ladies are telling me this could be my shape for a while. Just what I wanted to do - shop during the holiday rush.

I went shopping PP after ds#2 because I was so sick of the maternity clothes so I have sizes 17 down to 9 in jeans. So I'm set to make my way down that ladder. I've mostly been wearing maternity shirts that look a bit odd but when I'm out of the house I have a hoodie on anyway so it doesn't matter.

The clothing situation is not a pretty over here. I have two maternity shirts that fit and I have been wearing those since they are the only shirts long enough to cover my belly. My boobs are too big even for the tshirts I saved from my PP stint with ds1. I pulled them out the other day thinking I had a great stash of clothes, but my belly peeks out from under *every*single*one*!! ugh. I have been living in the same grungy pair of sweatpants. All the maternity pants I have fall off which I guess is a good sign! I *am* losing some weight! Yesterday I did go to Target and got a cheap pair of jeans and a men's size L long sleeve tee. I figured I could give the tee to dh when I'm done with it. It's big on me but I'm too cheap to spend the money on something that no one will wear again, ya know?!
