Found out someone I read on a blog is circing despite not wanting to.. shes giving in to her husband's desires.

I don't know them very well, but tonight it just hit me so hard. All the supportive comments just made me sick. I left what little comment I could, and let myself cry over it, but I just don't understand.

Sometimes it just gets so overwhelming. It makes me anxious for my babe to be grown and be in arms, mutilation free, for a good squeeze when I need one. I was personally upset about the issue before I got pregnant, but now that I am and it's a boy it just hits so close to home every time.

I had people I don't know very well circ their little guy recently. It's been incredibly hard on me. I'm not sure why, really. I haven't seen the mother at all, but I can't even bring myself to talk to the father.

I understand. I do not know anyone who doesn't circ there sons in the area where i live.... it's a sad thing if you ask me... and i am totally the minority so when i say something against circumcision everyone thinks i'm crazy, an old friend of mine had a baby just recently, they circ'd him and it was really hard on me, too. the past two nights i haven't been able to get to sleep thinking about how awful this is and wondering WHY it's done?? how could it be done? I just dont understand why this is allowed?!?! I never even considered it until i got pregnant with a boy... it just really, really hurts me inside. it makes me extremely upset. especially since circ'ing a girl is just considered "horrible" and "sick"... HOW is that any different!?!?!? oh, i could go on forever.... anyways, they were changing her sons diaper and saying things like "Oh yeah he just got his circumcision today!" and it just really made me sad. like they were happy about it?! I asked her what kind of circ he got, she had no idea.... the only thing i ask is that whatever decision someone makes, they just educate themselves about the penis and the foreskin and it's purpose..... if more people would do that, they wouldn't circ..

I was against circ before my first son was born but the reality of it didn't become really clear to me until after I had him. I went from being against circ to being outraged by it.

I've been gagging on my last meal and sobbing since I read about it. The comments are just unbearable. "Its your choice" "Oh, here come the intactivists". Sick. I can't take it. Its just heartwrenching. -sigh-

Its not you thats crazy, they are crazy. Some people do not have access to information as to why circumcision is wrong however and change their minds when they have better information on it. Many people seem to not register what it is and that it is, the same thing as female genital mutilation, a violent assault on a child.
