for jaundice? i never had to with DS, but this time around i have to sit in the window twice a day for 20 min on each side. MW said to do it for the week, but so far it's been a couple days and she still has a yellow tinge. anyone else doing this or has had to? how long before the yellow goes away? she's definetly ok, she's spends more time awake looking around than i've seen most babies do. so i know she is healthy and not lathargic.

I had to do it with ds. It was hard though because I always felt like it was too cold to *not* cover him up (he was born at the end of Oct). I had to do it in 5-10 minute increments so he could be bare enough to get the sun but not freeze. I think it took about a week for the yellow tinge to go away. As long as you know she's healthy/alert, I wouldn't worry too much.

Nurse nurse nurse nurse nurse if you're breastfeeding. That will help too.
