she's 5.5. she used to sort of sleep on her side of the family gap, but lately she wants to be stuck to me, and i can't sleep! when i turn from my back to my other side to nurse her brother, she moves right with me, and i'm stuck 
i've been talking about my needs and boundaries with her, but she is adamant she can't sleep unless she is stuck to me. last night i somehow managed to convince her to be a few inches away from me, and it took her a long time to fall asleep, and it was very dramatic--lots of tossing and turning and kicking the mattress etc. yet she slept really well. if she is glued to me her sleep is very light, and she wakes up frequently. so i pointed this out to her in the AM, and she said that she slept terribly--because she is convinced that the last bit before she fell asleep was already "sleeping"
basically she wants a warmer spot, but refuses to wear pjs, or use a blanket. we've been talking for days, and i'm going nuts. i need my sleep!
