post #181 of 547
December 1: $15 for pictures of the kids with Santa Claus.
December 2: no driving, spent $60 on Christmas gifts online.
December 3: no driving, no spending!
December 4: no driving, no spending!
December 5: $6 on parking, $4 of necessary spending at grocery store, $100 Christmas shopping, $24 spent on fast food and other things I don't really need (hot chocolate, snacky treats, etc.)
December 6: $35 spent on diapering stuff.

2/10 actual no-spend days
3/5 let-the-car-rest days
24/75 in discretionary/preventable spending
0/5 lattes
No unfunded credit card charges yet!

1 - $191.30 on groceries (budgeted)
2 - true no spend no drive
3 - $50 gas (budgeted)
4 - $50 Staples (stuff to mail stuff I sold, tape, printer cartridges)
$5 to ship the stuff I sold
Most of this will get reimbursed through work or paid for with profits from sales. All budgeted/necessary
5 - : $78.95 groceries. $52.95 dry cleaners. It was all necessary, dry cleaners wasn't budgeted, I'm annoyed, so I'm giving myself the irked face.
6 - nothing to report. I'm laying low today.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2/12 no drive days
2/15 no spend at all days
0/8 take out/restaurant meals
0/$100 take out/restaurant meals
5/31 turn off the computer nights
$0/$50 mad money
$270.25/$500 groceries
Possible Pitfalls:
1. DS' first bday and first Christmas. I don't have a plan for spending yet on these things and I need to get one.
2. Christmas itself. I host dinner. We already have the main course, but I need sides and desserts. I need a budget for this.
3. Holiday guests. Usually end up going out to eat or spending more. Need to make sure not to lose sight of my goals in all of this.
Bought two car seats today -- $400 Yikes!!!! But we are trying to fit three car seats in the back of our Honda Civic so that we can use that car longer instead of buying a bigger car...so hopefully that will save us money in the long run.
We spent less than $2 out of our Christmas budget on the Polly Pocket's that Mommabean suggested. You guys, go "buy" those for donations!!!! It's so awesome!
I'm beyond thrilled that I made it through the last two weeks within our grocery budget. Our refrigerator is not much to look at, but we've had everything we've needed for the meals I had planned every night and have eaten well
I finally have internet again, now I have to catch up
Dec. 1-... I moved today so I had to get food (I had none) and stuff for the apartment that I didn't already own
Dec. 2-... stayed in all day unpacking/cleaning
Dec. 3-... paid for moving truck and monthly loan payment
Dec. 4-:... paid for apartment stuff to be setup and some apartment supplies at Giant Tiger which was all part of the budget, but then I bought myself a coffee, which wasn't necessary, so even though it wasn't much, I'm giving myself an irked face
Dec. 5-:... had to take a cab downtown to my meeting and then home because I couldn't carry the carseat to where I was going after... but it wasn't in the budget (I was supposed to have a ride and they cancelled ) I bought tofu while I was there for suppers, it was on sale
Dec. 6-... I was out today but didn't have any temptation to spend. I simply reminded myself there is No wiggle room right now...
