So I'm standing at the bar in the kitchen talking online to a friend, and I'm in the middle of typing a sentence when my 4 year old daughter comes into the kitchen. She walks up to me and I'm still typing so I don't look at her. She says "So, what do you think of my beautiful hair? It's my new hairdo!"
So I finish typing and look at her...














She has her hair wrapped around a toilet brush!! She's tilting her head, got a shoulder raised, batting her eyes, doing her damndest to look beautiful with her new hairdo!!!



I totally grossed out and pulled it our of her hair right away, now I'm kicking myself for not taking a pic!!!!!

She needs a tampon bracelet to go with it, my then 4 year old and a friend made these when I wasn't looking one day -- basically pipecleaners wrapped into a circle with "charms" made of unwrapped OB tampons hanging off it. I know it's not technically "gross" in that the tampons were sterile, but it sure makes a great story.

I so wish I had kept one so I could threaten (jokingly of course, I would never humiliate my kid like that) to wear it when he was a teenager, but I didn't have the foresight and just reminded him that we don't make artwork out of other people's things without asking.

When my son was 3 he came downstairs with a pad stuck to his forehead. Said that way when he was skating he wouldn't hit it! No pictures of that either! Darn!!!!!!

My two year old stuck a fluorescent green bead up her nose and I did indeed get the camera before the tweezers.

So we're sitting at the table and my 4 year old says to me, "mama, do we need to go to the doctor? Should we take me to the doctor?"

I say "No, baby. Why would you have to go to the doctor?"
