Advice- chronic yst infections

How big apart does sugar play in getting yst and is monistat ok for pregnancy, I used it once and I will use alternatives from now on but for my piece of mind I just want to know has it been used before while pregnant. :

It depends on your body. For many women, eating sugar is a major contributor to being unable to kick a yeast infection.

I don't like Monistat, personally, but it is recommended to pg women for use by OBs and CNMs and probably some other midwives, so I don't think it's likely to be worse than any other kind of chemical crap like shampoo or nail polish.

It is a good idea to cut out sugar, however unappealing that idea may be.

It is also a good idea to add probiotics, eat yogurt (plain tastes a lot like sour cream and can be happily eaten with savory stuff like chips, raw veggies, etc.), use gentian violet (semi nasty, but it WORKS) - for starters. As I'm sure you know or will know soon, there are ALL kinds of remedies that you can try. These are things that have worked especially well for me.
