My hoo-ha is hurtin'. I change my pads every time I use the bathroom, but I am still kinda raw and irritated. The bleeding is letting up but man oh man. 2 2 weeks is long enough. I hope I am in the home stretch!

Are you still using a peri bottle? I had to stop using mine because I was basically getting diaper rash. I stopped wearing panties and pad at night (unless up for a feeding) and started drying my hoo-ha with a hair dryer after my shower.

Hmmm- I had not thought about the hair dryer. I think I would be able to get away with no undies at night... I will sleep on a towel just in case. I will let the air get at it... my peri bottle, although it was my best friend for the first week or so, has been retired to the basket under the sink. Thanks!

I remembered the raw feeling from last time so this time I bought some cloth mama pads. I'm not using them every day, but every 2 or 3 days I use one and I feel so much better afterwards. If you haven't got any, you may want to buy a couple to try - you don't need to many. And if you're using cloth dipes, you just wash with those.

AARGH- I was just nursing Mairaed and when I stood up I got this niagra falls bleeding. I have not had that since the second day PP. Weird. It was as heavy as the first day of my period... I hope it is not long-lasting.

I agree!! Also, don't use Always pads, they're HARSH. If you cannot buy cloth, spend a few hours with washcloths or a hand towel there instead to give you a break.

I just couldn't do cloth this time around (did sposies last time too) but I do hear cloth helps. I bled last time for 6 weeks and I am *so* hoping it's shorter this time.

I'd second the cloth! After I had my last baby I was so raw and rashy down there from disposable pads that I was miserable! My bleeding usually lasts 5-6 weeks! I'm 27 weeks pregnant now and after this baby I'm going to be using cloth pads. They are so much more comfortable!!

i LOVE the cloth i bought from our coop (THANK YOU SO MUCH monocyte for organizing it) - i used disposables for the first day and when i switched i was like, "if this is the difference between sposies and cloth for diapers, i'm never putting wren in a disposable!"

that being said, at 2+ weeks postpartum, even the cloth is making me feel a little raw. last night i went without because i'd barely been bleeding for days, and of course i bled all over my pjs. figures.

my heavy bleeding stopped within days after the birth. which is great, but the annoying thing is that i have *just enough* bleeding each day to still need a pad. just a smidge. ugh.

good thing--i'm in cloth now, and it feels great.
