Haven't been online lately since I'm having problems sitting for any length of time, but was downstairs to order more diaper covers (my big 9 pounder has already outgrown hers!) and wanted to stop by and let everyone know we're still around...
We were in a pretty serious car accident last Saturday, and fortunately walked away with only minor injuries. Someone ran a red light and smashed into the front quarter panel drivers side of our car. Dan (DH) was driving and is hurting pretty bad in his back (this is his 5th car accident-none his fault- in a year and half!!) I was in the back middle and Peri was in her Britax Marathon behind the passenger seat.
I was thrown into the carseat a little and have some back pain, shoulder and neck pain, but most noticeably, it increased my lochia and I have a rather large vaginal hematoma that makes it PAINFUL to sit- it's like sitting on a big sore softball
Since everything is so painful down there, I can't feel the urge to urinate, so I also have a bladder infection now as well.
Peri has some torticollis (sp?) that she may have had anyway, and is going to the chiro for adjustments and cranial sacral work this Friday. She is spitting up quite a bit today and we're waiting to hear from the pediatrician about whether it could be related to the accident and cause for worry.
Anyway, please keep us in your thoughts and send positive energy our way as we deal with the stress of this and heal. Poor DH thinks he is a target now that he's had so many wrecks. It's really getting to be scary
